I’m a writer, editor, reporter, and pop culture junkie taking big bites out of the Apple since ‘99. My writing has been published in print since I was six (thanks, Weekly Writer!) and online since I taught myself HTML in, oh, 1994 or so. Somehow all that nerding out with midnight movies (thanks, Inwood Theater and Forbidden Books and Video) and video games and computers and books and basically anything I can get my hands on has led me to this wacky career. Crazy, right?

Seriously though, I was born and bred in Dallas, TX, and headed up to Sarah Lawrence for college in ‘95. I majored in creative writing, literature, and how to match black clothing. (Answer: it all matches.) I’ve interviewed lots of people from comic book god Neil Gaiman to circus freak and former PhD student The Lizardman, written almost every kind of media review there is (video games, dvds, movies, music, and books), copy edited, fact-checked, and worked as a web producer (aka HTML and Photoshop grunt). I’m also one of 2008’s heeb 100. Does this mean I have to get bat miztvah’d?!
